Encouragement In The Wait

Much of life is spent waiting. We wait for doors to open, for prayers to be answered, for circumstances to change. Sometimes we wait with eager anticipation, and other times with a heavy heart, wondering if we’ve been forgotten. If you’re anything like me, you’ve wrestled with the tension of trusting God while longing for something that feels just out of reach.
To be honest, writing is how I process my own thoughts and emotions, and this book was born from my own reflections on waiting and not losing hope. I didn’t write these pages from the distant vantage point of someone who has already received everything they’ve prayed for. I’m in the middle of it. I know what it is to cry out for something again and again, to wonder if God sees, if He hears, if He will move.
But here’s what I am learning: waiting is not wasted when we learn to wait well. And waiting well isn’t about pretending the ache isn’t there—it’s about anchoring ourselves in the unshakable hope of Christ. It’s about practicing contentment in the Lord while still believing that He is able to do more than we can ask or imagine. It’s about stepping forward in faith, even when we don’t see the path clearly.
We all have a mountain we long to see moved. We all have a prayer we whisper in the quiet, wondering if today might be the day we see it answered. If that’s where you are, know that you are not alone. God sees you in your waiting. He is working, even when you can’t yet see the evidence. My hope in sharing these words is that they will meet you where you are, reminding you to keep holding on, to keep trusting, and to keep walking forward in faith—no matter the outcome.
If this resonates with you, I’ve made Encouragement in the Wait available as a free download. You can find it by clicking the link below or visiting my Website. My goal in sharing this is to offer encouragement to others who are also in a season of waiting.
